In the business world, the ability to communicate effectively in English has become increasingly important over the years. With English being the world's most important language for business, the ability to communicate in English is essential for companies which want to operate in international markets. That means your employees need a good level of English fluency, because these are the people who will speak to your customers and suppliers every day.

Whether you want a course based around Business English or General English, our teachers can help. It is worth mentioning that for students who have not reached at least an intermediate B1 level of English, we generally recommend a course based around General English rather than Business English.
Subject to teacher availability, lessons can be scheduled on days and at times to suit your company, and all lessons will be held at your business premises, for maximum convenience.
Course Options
Business English or General English?
Is it better to study Business English, or General English? It's a question we get asked quite a lot. The answer to this question depends on your current language level and what you use, or want to use, English to do. A standard Business English course covers the vocabulary and structures that are needed to perform common tasks, such as writing emails, making and receiving telephone calls, making presentations, speaking in meetings, and so on.
At least until you have reached a good intermediate level - B1 or higher - we generally recommend a General English course. The reason is that this type of course is based on everyday language and have a stronger focus on grammar. General English courses are based on daily life, daily conversations. Although your staff need English for their jobs, relationshps with clients and suppliers are usually based on conversations about daily life. Business English doesn't help people speak about their hobbies, sport, families, or what they did last weekend, but these are the things that people speak most often about.

Intensive English Courses
An intensive course is without a doubt the only effective way to improve your English fluency and accuracy levels quickly. An intensive course is often the ideal solution, for example when you need to prepare for an important presentation or meeting, or if you change your role within a company. Depending on your needs we can provide a tailor-made course to help you prepare for specific events, or a more general course to develop your English fluency, confidence and accuracy.
What do we mean by an 'intensive course'? An intensive course is simply an accelerated language training program which includes 3, 4 or perhaps 5 lessons a week of between 3 and 5 hours a lesson. Obviously, you can choose the frequency and timing of the lessons! Our intensive courses can include between 30 and 60 hours of lessons and can last for between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on your needs and availability.

Summer Intensive Courses
A lot of people struggle to follow a conventional English course with regular weekly lessons because of family commitments or pressures of work. Studying English in the evening means spending less time with your family and in many cases it simply isn't practical to schedule English lessons during working hours.
If this is a problem you are familiar with, an intensive summer course could well be the ideal solution. We offer Intensive Summer courses for individuals and also for small groups (up to 6 people). Many companies in Italy operate at reduced levels during August, meaning many employers are happy for their staff to follow an English course during this period. Alternatively, it allows you to study without pressure during the holiday period. The summer holidays are the perfect time to follow an intensive English course.
